The Digilant Patrol-Cam™ is a revolutionary new mobile digital surveillance camera designed to be “worn” by patrolling security and law enforcement officers. The camera will unobtrusively record the whole day’s activities as seen by the wearer, and provides valuable historical video intelligence which can be easily retrieved at a later date.
The ultra-light compact camera including battery is housed in an IP54 weatherproof leather case which can be concealed behind a name badge, attached to a shoulder strap, or inserted into a shirt pocket.
The camera can be configured to take up to one photo every 2 seconds and stores up to 65,000 images. The patented ultra-low power technology enables the camera to operate uninterrupted, for a full 9 hour shift!
The images are stored to a memory card in JPEG format and can be easily downloaded to a PC at the end of the shift.
A proprietary high speed image viewer supplied with the camera, enables the user to review a whole day’s images within a few minutes. The Images can be encrypted to ensure privacy and confidentiality of the recorded events.
