Security 2011 Exhibition, Asia Pacific’s must-attend security trade show, today announced the winner of the 2011 Best New Product Award, FLIR Systems Australia for their FLIR Thermal Fence.
Digilant® and TAKEX Australia were named runners up.
Digilant® Solar-Cam™ is a ‘wire free’ image monitoring solution for remote locations. The solar powered camera is independent of external power and as such ideal for application in rural and agricultural surroundings. Images are sent via an internal 3G modem to a mobile, monitoring station & map based web interface. The camera can be activated by wireless PIRs and IR spotlights.
The awards criteria included innovation, originality, and whether the security industry can genuinely benefit from the product. Ease of integration into the current market place as well as likely uptake in the industry were the other factors taken into consideration.
“The quality of entries is very impressive this year. Although the solutions and services at our New Product Alley are so diverse, they all have one thing in common – they solve real-world security challenges in an innovative way,” said Kobe Johns, Exhibition Manager for Security 2011 Exhibition at Diversified Exhibitions Australia.
Security 2011 Exhibition concluded today at the Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre with more than 150 suppliers and 4,500 visitors. The event is endorsed by the industry’s peak body, the Australian Security Industry Association Limited (ASIAL).
