The Digilant Vendi-Cam is a revolutionary new digital surveillance camera designed to protect vending machines, kiosks, ticketing machines and ATM’s from vandalism. The Camera can be easily mounted anywhere behind the machine’s front panel and only requires one small hole for the pin hole lens.
The Vendi-Cam has an integrated omnidirectional tilt and vibration sensor to detect physical attacks by vandals and captures high resolution colour or B&W images of the event. The images are stored onto a removable memory card for easy viewing on a computer or PDA. The camera can store up to 65,000 images and will optionally overwrite the oldest images when the memory card is full, for ‘set and forget’ operation.
For low light or dark conditions, a black & white version of the Vendi-Cam is available which has an integrated Ultra High Brightness Infra-red LED to illuminate the whole area in front of the machine, ensuring excellent quality images.
In the case where a vandal may cover the camera hole before damaging the machine, a unique pre-trigger function records up to 20 images of the vandal before the attack happens!
Each image contains a time & date stamp as well as a user programmable text overlay containing machine number and location etc. The images are also encrypted with an anti-tamper digital signature including camera number, to verify the image integrity and origin for legal proceedings.
